Deployment Map - Considerations and Navigation
The information shown on this map is based on the best information available to the Superfast Berkshire project from a number of sources. The map may show when some (but not necessarily all) premises within a postcode are expected to be upgraded.
Superfast broadband (greater than 24Mbps) may not be available for all premises within an individual postcode as they may be served by different infrastructure (i.e. not covered) or may be located too far from the infrastructure (i.e. receiving slower speeds).
Overall, the colour selected for a postcode is based on when the majority of premises are expected to be served. In some postcode / localities, premises may be served through a mix of Commercial and Superfast Berkshire delivery (split by quarters) due to different cabinet infrastructure. Where this is the case, you will be able to 'toggle' between postcode information boxes showing the expected delivery, timescale and status.
Target upgrades are initially 'subject to survey' of ground conditions and infrastructure but can still encounter issues and challenges right up to the point when they go 'live'. Therefore estimated delivery quarters cannot be taken as a definitive guaranteed date or relate to a specific individual premise.
The maps will be revised and kept up to date as progress on deployment continues. This may result in some areas being brought forward and other areas being delayed. Postcodes will change status and colour when cabinets are 'live' through the Superfast Berkshire project.
The deployment map was last updated on 1st February 2016.
